This summer was very hot.
But, it is not so hot in the forest.

This road is covered by tall trees.
Only such condition of summer season and wheather could show such good view.

In a small park, I found an exuvia of cicada.
Such view is a fresh reminder that it is middle of summer now.

2013/08/08(Thu) - Interesting plant on the roadside

During walking after the lunch, I found an interesting and strange plant on the roadside.
From the flower (?), a thin and long vine was growing straight out.

This is "crowdipper".
Though it is easily imagined "dipper" from the shape of flower, why called "crow"?
I don't know.

In Japanese, this plant is called also as "crowdipper (KARASU-BISHAKU)".
Perhaps, because it looks like a crow's footprint the leaves divided into three?

Afternoon of a rainy day, I found a small small baby of snail on the ground.
The snail baby walked very very slowly.

I was watching him for a while.

On a roadside slope,
Lots of orange-colored flowers, a kind of Iris, were bloomed.

Very beautiful.

In the forest "Aoba-no-Mori",
On the ground,
I found a group of mushrooms.

They are orange-colored and very very small.

Katahira-cho street in Sendai city.
This morning is dark and rainy.

Oxalis flowers were closed.

2013/07/24(Wed) - Small white flowers in the dry riverbed

These small white flowers are quite common on summer season in Japan, called as "Hime-Jo-On".

"Hime" means little or cute in Japanese.

On the dry riverbed of Hirose-river, a lot of the flowers bloomed. 

2013/07/23(Tue) - Oxalis floweres on the stone wall

There is a old street called as "Katahira-cho" in Sendai city.
A line of old samurai residences was along the street till about 150 years ago.

Though the samurai residences dissapeared now, some stone walls on the borders remain there.

You can enjoy to see various flowers grown from between stones of the walls, season to season.
Today, I found beautiful light-purple colored Oxalis flowers on the stone wall.

2013/07/20(Sat) - a black dragonfly

On a very hot day in the summer,
at the SANKYO-ZAWA entrance of Forest AOBA,
a dragonfly with black wing, black eyes, and beautiful green body rested on a leaf.

I'm very lucky. He didn't move for a while till finishing my job.

In the forest "AOBA-no-Mori".
Many white flowers can be found.

The flower named "OKA TORA no O" in Japanese.
OKA = hill
TORA = tiger
O = tail

So, the name means that Tail of Tiger in Hill area (?)

I found a dropped flower on a leaf.
It's very nice situation!

I took some shot with OLYMPUS E-5 modern digital camera attached very old lens OM ZUIKO AUTO-S 50mm F1.8.

Aperture was opened in order to create a soft mood.

2013/06/15(Sat) - Spider on her net in Forest of AOBA

That day just before the rainy season, it was occasionally rain fall.
I was going out to the Forest of AOBA though the weather was not so good. 
To the persons who just want to work in the forest, such condition was bad.
But, to me, it's exciting weather condition. ... especially in that season!

Weak sunlight came through the tree leaves between showers of rain fall.
Oh! A spider on the net was highlighted in the dark forest and sunlight spots coming through the tree leaves played a effective role as background.

In the forest, all weather conditions are good for me.

In May, there are many many azalea's flowers around everywhere in Sendai city.
This park also has many azalea plants and RED color was full.

Now June.
Most of azalea flowers are finished and changed color to brown.

I found a flower still maintain the red color.
I feel the flower is special.

In a lunch time on weekday.
At the Nishi-park in the west part of Sendai city.

A bent grass has bloom flower.
The flower is plain and inconspicuous, but its white stamens are pretty beautiful.

I found a syrphid on the grass flower. 
He looks like he says "My body is very small, but I have big ambitions!".

In the forest ... it's my favorite place.
I feel its atmosphere is different from down town's.

Small, small flowers were pretty.
